Summer is moving full speed ahead (I can’t believe today is the last day of July) and so is what is now unofficially being refereed to as “picnic week”, on Sage & Sparkle.  Are you sick of hearing about picnic’s yet?  No?  Okay, good.  Me neither… However don’t be too sad, today is the last day I have picnic related thoughts to share with you, so sit back and listen up.  It may be a few weeks before you hear… Read more »

Over the weekend, as you know, the boy and I packed up and headed outside to enjoy the amazing weather.  I have been looking for the perfect picnic basket for weeks now, and everything I seemed to come across that fit my style, was out of my price range at the moment.  It had to be functional, yet stylish… no added plastic cups, plates, etc.  I have all of that, plus that whole look is way to matchy-matchy for… Read more »

Last Tuesday, my guy and I were invited to an amazing tasting event that my BBF’s company organized for Bravo’s Top Chef Masters. I think you all know by now that I’m a total foodie, so naturally this event was right up my alley, plus there was a photo booth where we got to play dress up (always a plus in my book). The event was hosted by Chase Sapphire Preferred, along with Bravo. Andy Cohen and Curtis Stone were in attendance (obvi) and… Read more »

I was finally able to dive into my “Cuisine Tonight For Two” – Fall 2013 magazine, that I picked up at Whole Foods a few weeks ago and literally I want to make everything featured.  Over the weekend I was craving Mexican food (typical Cali girl) but instead of going the usually route of tacos, or enchiladas, the Southwestern Grits in the vegetarian section of the magazine caught my eye. My grandma on my dads side is from Louisiana while… Read more »

Today my love and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary… our first date was at Shi in LIC, which we just so happen to live down the street from now, so naturally we decided to go back there tonight to celebrate.  I feel so lucky to have a guy like him in my my life.  I know it sounds cliché, but he really is the yin to my yang (anyone who knows me personal, knows this is true). Thursday… Read more »

This particular dish I have made twice now, so simple and amazingly delicious! Originally inspired by Cookie & Kate, I changed it up a little with a gluten free pasta and added shrimp.  This time I skipped the parmesan on top and removed the pine nuts to make this a gluten-free, dairy-free meal, nut-free meal,  but you can always add this step back it as both are equally delicious. The thing I love about this meal is that first, it’s so… Read more »
